Access to Zakynthos

The island is approximately 402 square kilometers wide, and has over 33,000 inhabitants. Its capital is the city of Zakynthos. You can reach the island by plane, or by road & boat.

By plane
The international airport "Dionysios Solomos" abstains 4 km from the city of Zakynthos. The island has a daily connection with the new airport of Athens "Eleftherios Venizelos", with flights of Olympic Airlines. Flight time is approximately 45 minutes, whereas in the summer months there are also a great number of charter flights.

By boat
The island is connected by boat with the port of Kyllini that lies in the northwest coast of Peloponnesus. In the summer months, there is a boat on an hourly basis, whereas in winter time there are five itineraries daily. The distance is 18 nautical miles and the duration of the voyage is close to 1 hour.

By road
Greek bus operators (KTEL) operate daily to the port of Kyllini. The distance Athens-Kyllini is 286 km and the trip lasts approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes. From Kyllini, passengers are then directly transported by ferry-boat to the island.
